Great tool. Ignore the reviews that state the release switch is hard to get to. If you are using the tool correctly you don't need to reach the release switch. You just squeeze until you've crimped and it automatically releases, ready for your next crimp.
A bit costly but the product is good.
I like this crimper . It did the job as described
My previous crimper only showed ABCDE sizes and needed King Kong to squeeze them. These get the job done easily, quickly, and the connectors don't need soldering using American Autowire connecters - OEM quality.
I was a little concerned with so many positive reviews and such a low price that the reviews might be fake or paid. However I received the crimpers last week and have had a chance to use them and I have no regrets. I'm very impressed with the quality. They make very neat, secure crimps without straining my hand. You can feel the quality and weight of the tool just holding it in your hands. The company does send a note thanking you for buying from them and asking you to review the tool but there is no bribe for your review like some other companies
These are very good quality crimpers, with high quality dies. I use them on open barrel splice terminals. Feels very solid and well made, and makes excellent crimps. I went through 3-4 different "cheap" crimpers, until I found these, and I'd definitely buy another pair if I lost them. The fact that they look nice with the yellow/black handles is an added bonus.
I had to get this to build the little white 4 pin socket connector that is used on a PCB. I had ordered the sockets and crimp tins from Digikey and then realized I lacked the necessary crimp tool. This is a special tool that crimps the part around the wire sleeve and the actual wire simultaneously. First, I crimped the tin in a larger segment so that it could be slipped onto the end of the wire easily. Then I crimped it in the smaller one to permanently attach it to the wire. It worked better than expected and produced a very secure connection.
